An overview of the accounting process, Nature and scope of corporate accounting, Elements of cost; Classification and distribution of overheads, Cost accounting flows, Financial accounting concepts, Impact of exchange rates,
Balance sheet preparation, Financial statement analysis, Cost and management decisions: Product costing. Breakeven analysis and cost profit relationships. Capital and cash budgeting for return on capital, periodic and continuous budgeting, budgetary control. Reporting systems for control: Scope for computerization.
